Simper (SIM-per) (verb/noun):

 

1.       To smile in a silly, self-conscious way. A self-conscious smile.

2.       To say with a simper.

 

She gave her teacher a simper.

 

 

Rubric  (ROO-brik) (noun):

 

1.       A set of instructions, etc., especially on an examination paper and usually printed in a different style or color.

 

2.       Any established mode of conduct or procedure; protocol.
