Genuflect (jen-yoo-flekt) (verb)

1. To bend the knee or touch one knee to the floor in reverence or worship.

2. To express a servile attitude

They genuflected before the altar in the church.

 

Baritone (ber-ə-ˌtōn) (noun)

1.A male singing voice of medium compass between bass and tenor; also : a person having this voice

2.A member of a family of instruments having a range between tenor and bass; especially : the baritone saxhorn or baritone saxophone
