Sisyphean [sis-uh-fee-uhn] (adjective): Endlessly laborious and fruitless.

 

For many CIOs, however, delivering new and innovative BI apps has been a bit of a Sisyphean challenge.               

  

Accrete [uh-kreet] (verb): To grow together; adhere

 

Particles in the gas and dust cloud collide, and gradually accrete into larger objects, eventually becoming planets.
