Doula (doo-luh) (noun):  A woman experienced in childbirth who provides advice, information, emotional support, and physical comfort to a mother before, during, and just after childbirth.

 

A postpartum doula typically begins providing care in the home after the birth.

 

Baksheesh (bak-sheesh) (noun): Payment (as a tip or bribe) to expedite service.

 

Baksheesh is a term used to describe tipping, charitable giving, and certain forms of political corruption and bribery in the Middle East and South Asia.
