He is likely to keep faith with Torres alongside Villa in a two pronged attack as the Spanish seek to become the first team to score against the resilient Portuguese at this world cup.              

 

Retort (ri-tort) :

1. (Verb)Answer back

2. (Noun) A quick reply to a question or remark (especially a witty or critical one).

Indeed some of the retorts made by government officials whenever this topic is brokered appear to be purely a tactic of obfuscation.
